On Friday 24th October 2025, a delegation of representatives form Carers Break attended the Cornwall’s Rewind Radio ‘Cornwall Hero Awards 2025’ at Tregenna Castle, St Ives. It was a fantastic and inspiring event where several hundred of Cornwall’s best gathered to recognise the award winners in each of the Hero’s categories. There were around 17 awards that ranged from ‘fundraiser of the year’, ‘environmental award’ and ‘Unsung Hero’.

Sponsoring the ‘Carer of the year’ award and a table at the spectacular event, Carers Break were delighted to present the award to one of the joint winners below. 

The occassion was so well put together with a 3 course meal, disco by RW entertainments and live performances by Rhys The Night Church Pianist and the brilliant Queen tribute act-‘The Good old lover boys’.

In a world of endless negative news, it was great to recognise people who think of others above themselves.
